Mrs. Ian Weston, of Karoonda, has been notified that her husband. F.O. Ian Duncan Weston, 27, navigational instructor, RAAF. lost his life as the result of an aircraft accident on the night of September 23. PO Western was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Weston, of Bairnsdale, Vic. and he leaves a widow and a baby son. Before enlistment he was on the staff of the Union Bank at Naracoorte and Jamestown, and at Bairnsdale, Victoria. Ian enjoyed tennis, cricket, golf, football, swimming, badmington and tabel tennis.

FLYING OFFICER IAN DUNCAN
WESTON
Mr. and Mrs. J. Weston, post office, Bairnsdale, received the sad news on Friday, of the death of their only child, Flying Officer Ian Duncan Weston, 27 years, who was killed in a flying accident at an Australian training school in which he was an instructor.
Flying Officer Weston, who was a native of Adelaide, joined the Union Bank in 1934, at Narracoorte, and three years later was transferred to Jamestown, from where he enlisted in the R.A.A.F. in 1940.
The sympathy of the community will be extended to Mr. and Mrs. Weston in their great sorrow.
