My mother Mary Emily Schulze (b. 05 Oct 1919 - also at Gawler, South Australia) was the fiancée of Chris when he joined the Australian Air Force and never returned from WW2.
Mum always spoke very warmly of Chris, and I believe he was her only true love.

He enlisted with the RAAF in Adelaide, SA, on 12 October 1940 and flew with No 454 Sqn in the Middle East.
