Son of James Sinton Telford and Daisy Beatrice Telford, of Mount Barker, South Australia.
Flight Sergt Angus Reginald Telford, who it was reported lost his life in England last year, was aged 22½ years. He was the youngest member of the family of three sons of Mr. J. S. Telford and the late Mrs. Telford, of Glenburnie, where has was born. He was educated at the Glenburnie school and spent all his life in the Mt. Gambier district, being employed by Mr. Les Patzel, of Square Mile prior to his enlisting four years ago in the A.I.F., with which he served 12 months. At the time of transferring to the R.A.A.F. he was with A.I.F. at Darwin. Before he left for overseas he trained as a wireless air gunner at several Australian R.A.A.F. stations, and taking a great interest in his work he soon earned promotion. Flt./Sgt. Telford served in England, Scotland, and Wales for about 9 months, where he made many friends among civilians as well as his own work mates, who all have spoken very highly of him.
Deceased was a member of the Yahl Cricket Club, and was a player of great promise. He took an active part in most sport of the districts and also R.A.A.F. cricket teams while abroad. He is survived by two brothers, Lindsay and Roy Telford, both of Glenburnie.
