Son of Allan Bruce and Flora Nita McLaren, of Waikerie, South Australia.

LOVED SON OF MR. & MRS. A.B. McLAREN OF WAIKERIE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Mr. A. B. McLaren, of Waikerie, has been advised that his son, Flt Sgt. C. R. McLaren, is missing as a result of air operations on the night December 2-3. 1943. He was a member of a crew of a Lancaster aircraft, detailed to attack enemy territory, which failed to return to its base. Flt-Sgt. McLaren enlisted on December 6. 1941, and left for overseas on December 5, 1942.
At the time of enlisting he was helping his father on his fruit block. He played football, cricket and tennis for Waikerie.
