Son of William Thomas Seymour and Elizabeth Alice Maude (nee Champion) Seymour of Port Pirie; brother of Phyllis May Seymour and Alice Merle Seymour

DUTY NOBLY DONE. EVER REMEMBERED BY MOTHER, FATHER AND SISTERS, SOUTH AUSTRALIA

At the time of enlistment he was employed from the age of 17, by Prests Ltd of Quorn

Plane was Manchester L7322 which crashed into the sea at Lle Longue, Crozon, France. Eyewitnesses state that there were no survivors. William's body was not recovered until 24 June 1942 when it washed ashore near Anse du Fret

November 1933 - school subjects studied an passed were:- English, Latin, French, Mathmatics 1 & 2, Chemistry, Physics, Arithmetic

November 1935-1936 - passed the subjects of Bookkeeping and Business by Correspondence

October 1938 - he complete an accountants course by correspondence while working with Hemingway & Robertson of Melbourne

Sports played - football, Tennis, Swimming, Cricket - he was a champion swimmer and member of the Solomontown Swimming Club.
