Geoffrey Benjamin Augustine ABERNETHY was born in Port Augusta, South Australia on 2nd August, 1909

His parents were William ABERNETHY & Ruby Rebecca ROE - he was one of 9 children

He married Sylvia Mae WEST in Sale, Victoria on 27th April, 1943

- 3 known children, Lindsay, Pamela & Cheryl

He died in Sydney on 25th February, 1972 , late of Lane Cove

There is a Memorial Plaque in the Garden of Remembrance in Pinnaroo Cemetery in Queensland in his honour
