The son of John and Mary Logan, of Glebe Point, Sydney. An article about him was published in the Winner, a Melbourne sporting paper, during 1916.
N.S.W. SPORT MOURNS LOSSES, Mr Jack Logan, at one time a crack New South Wales professional runner, and now an equally well-known backer of horses, and a popular member of Tattersall's Club, has lost one of his sons, Lance-Corporal H. S. Logan, on the French front. Death was due to wounds. Lance Corporal H. S. Logan played for Glebe in the first-grade competition of the Rugby Union, and afterwards in the same district's senior grade team in the Rugby League contests. The soldier-sport also played a big part in swimming and rowing circles. He was also a prominent rower for the Glebe Rowing Club.
