MEDAL FOR BRIGHTON BOY
Leaving Australia in November, 1915, Sergeant Harold Ross, of the
8th Battalion, Australian Imperial Force, has taken part in a great
deal of the fighting in France. He was wounded at Pozieres, and returned to his unit some months afterwards. He has now been
awarded the Military Medal for gallantry in the field.
Sergeant Ross is the second son of Mr. and Mrs W. H. . Ross, of
Mathoura road, Toorak and formerly of Orchard street, Brighton. Prior to enlisting he was employed in the Victorian Railways Printing
Office, and before sailing was married to Miss Anita M. Drayton,
youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs S. Drayton, of Pine Avenue, Elwood.
