the details provided are taken from the book "Purple and Blue - the history of the 2nd/10th Infantry Battalion" (the Adelaide Rifles) 1st published 1958. Theodore is mentioned many times in this book, and all references are found in the index at the rear, indluding details of a MID (Mention in Dispatches) from activity at Milne Bay 30 Sept 1942, a MC (Military Cross) from his actions at Buna & Sanananda during the period 22 Dec 1942 to 22 Jan 1943, and a further MID awarded to Theodore after his transfer to 16th Brigade HQ for the duties that he performed. The citation for the award of the MC is detailed in the annex. He survived the war and was discharged 15 Oct 1945.
