BAR TO MILITARY CROSS
Our London correspondent cabled on Wednesday : Lieut . R.E.N. Twopeny a South Australian, of King Edward's Horse, has been awarded a bar to his Military Cross for gallantry in leading troops when all of his superior officers had been disabled. Lieut. Twopeny is a son of Mr. Twopeny, M.P., who was recently elected to represent the District of Newcastle in the House of Assembly, and is a former Scholar of St. Peter's College. - August 1917
