He was a medical orderly nursing veterans in England until 1920. He married Elsie-May Llewelyn in 1923 which lasted 76 years. He was 102 years old when he died, and Elsie-May was 98 years old. They had a son Jim and a daughters Elaine and Nat, 8 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren. He worked a Perry Engineering.
