Son of Frederick Zerbe and Marie Zerbe nee Anmann of Doncaster East, Victoria.
On 7 May 1919 Frederick married Ada Emma Spackman in the Milton Parish Church, Pewsey, Wiltshire, England
Commenced return to Australia on 23 July 1919 aboard HT Port Lincoln disembarking on 14 September 1919
