Agnes May butchard had been a claiming a pension for Edward and claimed that he was still residing with her but according to the Statuary Declaration signed in 1920 by both women Isabel Hood, Albert's mother, she had looked after the child since he was 10 months old.
22 February 1922 - Stated that Albert had two ex-nuptual children one, Edward Lamont (Hood) was with Isabel Hood (Albert's mother) and the other child, named Milton Rand, with Agnes Butchard the mother of both children
3 March 1922 - A letter to Albert's mother from Base Records referring to Albert's medals and to the age of Alberts ex-nuptual child named Edward Lamont (Hood) who was in Isabel Hood's custody. Edward's mother was Mrs. Agnes May Butchard who lived at 21 Douglas Street, Redfern NSW.
Albert's mother, Isabel Hood, received at pension for Edward Lamont and also signed for both Albert's War Medals and his Memorial Plaque
