Biography

Benard Alfred Docking , liked to be called Ben, he was my grandpa and was a very kind , loving person. He first enlisted in the Australian Military forces on 4th of March 1942 with AMF DARWIN he was 26yrs old. he then reinlisted on 15th of june 1944 and was with the 43 AUST INF BN. Ben was finally discharged on the 25th of march 1946.

Ben had 2 sons after being discharged , Peter and Robert (Bob).

my grandpa was a fantastic person and served his country twice and he finally died on the 15.1.91 at the age of 75, his burial was on the 18th of january 1991 at Karoonda cemetery his home town. He did not talk to us about his time he served in the war, as it really effected him , but we are all very proud of him .                                                                                                     

Benard Alfred Docking has and always been loved and missed.
