Private Eric Henry Morris (Service Nos:S29815/SX32777) initially served in the ACMF from 2 February 1942 to 23 September 1943 with 7 Supply Personnel Coy and 83 Supply Depot (ASD) Platoon. On 24 September 1943 he enlisted in the AIF, serving with 82 Supply Depot (ASD) Platoon and 2/47 Australian Transport Platoon. Private Morris was attached to 54 Port Craft Coy in Torokina and Fauro Island (7 August 1945 - 12 February 1946), and was Discharged on 25 March 1946.

Eric was born at Port Lincoln, South Australia in 1912, seventh of eleven children of Edmund Henry George Morris (b1869 in Modbury, South Australia) and Elizabeth Sabina Kempster (b1879 in Keilli via Port Pirie, South Australia). Edmund and Elizabeth married in 1897 in Kadina, South Australia. The family lived in Keith, Wallaroo, Port Lincoln and Medindie before settling in Adelaide - Edmund was a Stonemason.

Eric worked in Kent Town as a Labourer before enlisting in the Army. Following his Discharge, Eric worked as a Cleaner in Adelaide, and died in Yorketown in 1999.
