Colin Douglas SIMPER was born on 28th April, 19191 in Clarendon, South Australia
His parents were Sydney James SIMPER and Sylvia Ethel EDWARDS
"...SX21753 Sergeant Colin Douglas Simper, 2/48th Battalion, of Clarendon, SA, also served with the 43/48th Battalion, Citizens Military Forces. He was promoted to lieutenant on 23 October 1943 and died of wounds on 9 June 1945 in Borneo. He is buried at the Tarakan War Cemetery." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
