Son of Abraham and Sarah Jane Cheetham of 'Roughley' Grey Street, Carlton, NSW

Brother of Rubert Cheetham enlisted but was discharged as permanently medically unfit in 1916 and Arthur Reginald Cheetham who returned to Australia on 18 December 1918 having served with the 2nd Battalion
