Biography

Pte. Olaf Stanley (Stan) Jensen AIF of 158 Esmond Road Port Pirie Estate aged 23. Son Of Mrs O M  and the late Sven Jensen of Pirie Estate. Educated at Port Pirie Public and High Schools. Interested in all sports. In civil life was employed at the B H Pty Whyalla. Enlisted in 2nd AIF 2/43rd Batt in May 1941 and was later drafted to the 2/6th Batt. Had seen service in the Middle East and Palestine. Returned to Australia in August 1942. Went to New Guinea where he was killed in action on July 11th 1943. His brother Flt/Sgt Harold S Jensen is with the RAAF overseas.
