"Mrs. M. K. Bartlett, of Short street, Wayville, has been notified that her brother, Pte. Walter George Hore, 27, was wounded in action on August 28 in the Southern Pacific. Pte. Hore enlisted in January, 1941, and saw service in Tobruk and Syria before returning to Australia." - from the Adelaide Advertiser 15 Sep 1942 (nla.gov.au)
