Brother of Leslie Yates MM who returned to Australia on 11 May 1919 having served with the 6th Field Artillery Brigade, James Yates who returned to Australia on 10 March 1919 having served with the 8th Field Artillery Brigade and Penn Simon Yates who returned to Australia on 27 April 1919 having served with the 1st Artillery Brigade
