Biography

Wilfred Stanley BROADSTOCK was born on 21st May, 1916 in Kadina, South Australia

His parents were Victor Hurtle BROADSTOCK and Madeline Maud MILLBANK

Son of Mr and Mrs Victor Hurtle Broadstock of 15 Pavlich Street, Port Pirie. Educated at Port Pirie Public and High Schools. Fond of football and cricket and was a member of Federal Sports Club. In civil life was employed by the BH Pty, Whyalla. Enlisted in 2nd AIF in March 1940. He saw active service in Middle East, Egypt, Syria and Palestine. Also served in Tobruk. He was wounded in Syria and returned to Australia. Died in Heidelburg Hospital, Melbourne, Victoria.
