Biography

Cpl. Clarence James Vivian 2/31st Batt. AIF of 75 Fifth Street Port Pirie. Aged 24. Son of Mrs Rose E and the late Mr A E Vivian, of Port Pirie. Educated at St Mark's School, Port Pirie. Was very fond of football. Enlisted in AIF in February 1940 and sailed for England and Scotland and then went to the Middle East where he saw active service. Returned to Australia in March 1942 and then left for New Guinea, where he was killed and is now buried.
