Allan Harry Dead
Allan Gilbert Harry, son of Mrs E. M. Nelson, of Burra. passed away at the Repatriation General Hospital, Spring Bank on Saturday. He was only 30 years of age. The late Mr Harry, in his day, was a Lightweight Boxer of interstate repute, and was a leading member of 'Red' Mitchell's team which toured N.S.W. and Queensland three or four years ago. During his career he met and conquered some of the finest boxers of his weight in Australia. After the aforementioned trip he retired from boxing.

ALLAN HARRY NARROWLY LOSES TO ORREAL
BRISBANE — Allan Harry (one time Burra boy), a prominent light weight South Australian boxer, narrowly lost to Lionel Orreal in one of the best fights seen here in recent years. A last-round rally by the Queenslander gave him the verdict. The trend of the fight fluctuated in the last two rounds. Harry won the eleventh convincingly, and at one stage dropped Orreal for one second. Orreal had his left eyebrow gashed and was punished severely. The tables were completely turned in the twelfth. With a supreme effort, Orreal took the fight away from the Adelaide youth. He deluged Harry with superb drives to the body and jaw, and one right to the jaw shook Harry from head to heels. Orreal had his rival on the verge of a knockout when the final bell sounded. — 'The News.'
