Laurence Wadeson COLTISH was born in Geelong, Victoria on 10th April, 1913
His parents were Percy COLTISH & Laura Emmaline LAWRENCE
He married Leura May RANDS in Victoria in 1935

ROLL OF HONOR.
Pte. L. Coltish Dies Of Wounds.
ANOTHER fine young man of
this district, Pte. Laurence Wadeson Coltish, of
Brucknell, has given his life in the service of his country, having died on September 11,
as a result of wounds received in New Guinea.
He joined the A.I.F. early in 1942 and also served in theMiddle East, returning with the 9th Division.
LEAVES YOUNG FAMILY.
Aged 30, he was the third son of Corporal and Mrs PercivalColtish, of Queenscliff. He leaves a wife, formerly Miss May Rands, of Timboon, and
four children under the age of six years. Deep sympathy is felt for them in their sad loss.
Pte. Coltish attended the State school at Queenscliff andhad lived in Timboon and Brucknell districts for the past 11 years. He was dairying for Messrs R. and S. Taylor at Brucknell for several years.
KEEN SPORTSMAN.
He was a keen sportsman and very popular with all. He played cricket and football for both Timboon and Curdles clubs. As a fast bowler he was very suc-
cessful and as a half back helped to win several premierships.
SHIRE SERVICE
A tribute to his memory will be paid by Heytesbury Shire Council at a public service at the Shire Hall, Cobden, next Wednesday, October 13, at 2 pm.
