Oliver Andrew CORKISH was born on 12th October, 1892 in Douglas, Isle of Man

His parents were William CORKISH & Catherine MYLCHREEST who married in St Barnabas, Douglas, Isle of Man on 19th November, 1871

He first enlisted for WW1 on 5th August, 1915  (SN 4157) & embarked with the 7th Infantry Battalion, 13th Reinforcements on the ship Demosthenes on 29th December, 1915

He returned to Australia on 21st December, 1918 with gun shot wounds to his chest - he was discharged on 21st March, 1919

Oliver married Ruby Victoria KEEN in Victoria in 1924

On 18th May, 1940 he enlisted to serve in WW2 (SN V84143) with the 12th Garrison Battalion

Oliver died of Illness in Victoria on 25th October, 1946 & is buried in Springvale Cemetery in Victoria
