Son of Thomas Charles and Alice Sarah Osborne of Francis Street, Richmond, NSW later of Watson's Bay, NSW.
Brother of Harold Charles Oborne who returned to Australia on 17 February 1919 having served with the 4th Divisional Ammunition Column.
Commenced return to Australia on 14 January 1919 aboard HT City of York disembarking on 27 February 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney.
