| 1 Jan 1899: | Involvement British Forces (All Conflicts), 327, Richard Cliff served in the Prince Alfred's Own Cape Artillery (PAOCA) as a Driver during the Boar War. He was awarded the Queens South Africa medal with Cape Colony, Orange Free State bars and the Kings South Africa Medal with South Africa 1901 and South Africa 1902 bars.
