Ted had enlisted for service in WW1 at Cootamundra on 02 Nov 1918 by raising his age by 3 years. When his actual age was revealed his father was required to give consent. In a telegram Ted's father stated he did NOT give his consent.
The following year Ted enlisted in the Australian Navy
