Jack enlisted stating, stating he was 18 years and six months of age and was subsequently returned to Australia in 1918 for being under age and discharged on 17 Apr 1918. He had joined the 3rd Battalion in France in May 1917.
His brother 4758 Pte. Herbert Creagh (/explore/people/303158) enlisted on 11th September 1915 at Warwick Farm, his age was 18 years and 9 months. He died of wounds on the 18th May 1917 whilst serving with the 54th Battalion.
NSW BDM records have mistakenly record Surname at birth as Creach, John B. (Reg no. 16066/1900)
