Wharton Owen GAZE was born in Katanning, Western Australia on 5th April, 1922
His parents were William Owen GAZE & Beryl Lynne WHARTON

His father William Owen GAZE served during WW1 as a Lieutenant in the Australian Flying Corp and returned to Australia on 15th May, 1919 (SN 1898) - he also served in the Volunteer Defence Corp during WW2 and was discharged on 15th October, 1945 (SN W71340)
