His parents were Woodrooffe GREENLEES and Eva Grace Ker OAKES

He enlisted with the Australian Army on 19th September, 1941 - he was with the 15 Australian Infantry Battalion - rank Sergeant

Preston was Killed in Action on 8th September, 1943 in New Guinea - He is buried in Lae War Cemetery and also commemorated on the Australian War Memorial & the Roll of Honour in Brisbane
