'...THEY REST FROM THEIR LABOURS..." REV. X1V:13
Mr and Mrs Harry Hawkins, Kyvalley, and Miss Enid Hawkins, have received the distressing news from the Minister for the Army that their only son and brother, Private E. W. (Bill) Hawkins, was killed in action on August 11 in New Guinea. The sympathy of the community is extended to the sorrowing family in their sad be reavement.
For some years Bill was in the employ- of the late Mrs John Allan, Wyuna. In February, 1942, he was married to Miss G. Blake, of Tongala, the marriage was celebrated in Melbourne, Bill being a member of the forces at the time.
