Sydney Herbert De Hochpied LARPENT was born in Cudgee, Victoria on 16th December, 1914
His parents were Lionel Herbert LARPENT & Catherine Jane COX who married in Victoria on 29th January, 1914 - his parents names are incorrect on some of his war records
He was Killed in Action at the Muar River in Malaya on 22nd January, 1942 - no known grave

His father Lionel Herbert LARPENT served during the Boer War (SN 1346) with the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles
Two of his brothers also served in WW2
