Flying Officer Kenneth William Lyon 415478 was killed in the loss of Wellington HE237 of 40SQN RAF at Foggia, Italy - the only one survivor was Sergeant Francis Whitmore Jones 427511 RAAF (discharged March 1945), remainder of crew were RAF (KIA)
