Death report
Report of the death in aerial operations to the north of Australia of Flight-Lieut. Bert (Bonny) Moody, son of Mr A.H. Moody, of Atherton. The airman was flying a Beaufighter when he lost his life. Flight-Lieut. Moody, who was 23 years of age, commenced school teaching at Townsville West school, & while there he was a prominent Rugby League player, taking his place in the Townsville representative side. He was teaching in the Proserpine district, when he enlisted in the R.A.A.F. 4 years ago. Flight-Lieutenant Moody was a popular young man & the greatest sympathies to his family,
