Eric's WW2 Army enlistment shows a birth year of 1900. According to Victoria's Births, Deaths and Marriages, Eric's actual year of birth was 1889.

When Eric enlisted in WW1, his record shows his age as 26 in November 1915. WW1 Attestation Papers didn't request a date of birth.
