Flight Lieutenant Stanley Frank Burdwood Davies 415124 & Pilot Officer John Michael Daniel Pigott 435178 were killed when Mosquito MK6 A52-523 of Number 1 Squadron crashed 10 miles NE of Kingaroy Aerodrome, QLD while undergoing low flying and dive bombing practice. Probable cause - failure of starboard mainplane.
