423203 Flt Sgt John Lockrey had signed Frank's autograph book. Frank had inscribed the front page of his own book "When your days of life are over/ And life's pathway you have trod/ May your name be ever written in the autograph of God" perhaps an appropriate epitaph for them both.
Francis Smith Place, Kempsey is named for him.
