William George SWANBURY was born in Marrickville, Sydney on 30th June, 1922

His parents were William Albert SWANBURY & Florrie Ellen COLTHUP who married in Sydney in 1920

His father William Albert SWANBURY served in both the 1st & 2nd AIF

1. WW1  (SN 18651) - returned to Australia in 1919

2. WW2  (SN NX 141772) and ( SN N 393019) - discharged 1945

His brother Albert Walter SWANBURY served in the RAN
