"...24385 Able Seaman Herbert (Bruiser) Turk, HMAS Sydney, RAN, of Denman, NSW. He enlisted from Sydney on 6 November 1939. On 20 November 1941 all 645 personnel onboard HMAS Sydney were lost following an engagement with the German cruiser Kormoran off the coast of Western Australia.
