Harry enlisted in WW1 in 1916 as an infanteer in the 3rd Battalion Regimental number 1102. He saw service in Messines, Ypres, Broodseinde and Passenchendale, harry was unscatched during these attacks but was wounded on 18/2/1918 during an emeny air attack in London while on furlong. He arrived home onboard the Aeneas on 27/6/1919.
Harry enlisted in Brisbane in 1941 aged 44 having falsely giving his birthdate as 27/6/1901, he was actually 39.
Harry's brother was Richie Walker the Australian surf lifesaving champion.
Harold Walker Ave, Kempsey is named for him.
