"THE LATE PRIVATE N. NALTY.
Mrs. W. G. Staker, of 270, Pirie-street, city, has been notified by the military authorities that Private Neil Nalty was killed in action on December 4. Private Nalty sailed for Egypt in October, 1915, and went with the first Australians to France. He was well known in the east end of the city for his happy disposition, and was most highly respected by a large circle of friends." - from the Adelaide Chronicle 13 Jan 1917 (nla.gov.au)
