Wilson Harry Emanuel WRIGHT was born on 30th May, 1909 in Mosman to William Martin WRIGHT and Bertha TUCKEY who had married in Sydney in 1892

Wilson married Joan HERMAN on 8th August, 1940 in Sydney

He joined the RAAF on 26th April, 1942 & later joined 467 Squadron as a Pilot Officer navigator

He died on an air combat operation 16th July, 1944 in France whilst in a Avro Lancaster  Bomber ME851 - Code PO-B.  The aircraft collided with another from a different Squadron at night, and allcrew in bothaircraft were lost.

His name is memorialized at the Australian War Memorial & the Roll of Honour in Sydney.  

Both crews from the stricken aircraft are buried together in the Communal cemetery of Lignieres-de-Touraine, near which their airctraft crashed. 

His older brother 10000 Gnr. William Arthur WRIGHT (/explore/people/271603) served in the AIF in WW1 and was Killed in Action in France on 14 Nov 1916
