"...2nd Lieutenant Alexander Beatty, 10th Reinforcements, 21st Battalion, of Yackandandah, Vic. 2nd Lt Beatty enlisted on 10 June 1915 and was commissioned on 17 January 1916. He embarked aboard HMAT Wiltshire in Melbourne on 7 March 1916. On 26 August 1916 he was killed in action at Mouquet Farm, France..." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
