Private Clarence Octavius Head (Service No:Q103759) enlisted in the ACMF on 28 June 1941 and served as a Private/Driver with 111 Australian General Transport Coy. Private Head was Discharged on 11 September 1945.

The youngest of eight children of Henry Octavius Head (b1870 in Ipswich, QLD) and Edith Sophia Maud Marsh (b1876 in Gatton, QLD), Clarence was born in 1919 in Laidley, QLD. Edith had a son when she and Henry (a Farmer) married in 1898 in Laidley, QLD. Henry and Edith settled at Blenheim in Laidley where they raised their family and Henry was a Farmer.

Clarence worked as a Carpenter in Laidley, QLD - he stated he was a Theatre Operator in 1941 in his Attestation Papers. In 1945 in Brisbane QLD he married Cecily Hilda Cole (b1921 in Cooktown, QLD). Clarence and Cecily settled in Brisbane, QLD where Clarence worked as a Carpenter. Clarence died in 1975 and Cecily in 1998.
