Private Kenneth Dunbar Heymer (Service No:Q149642) served in the ACMF (20 May 1942 - 1 October 1946), and was attached to 113 Australian General Transport (AGT) Coy at Discharge.

Ken was born in Brisbane QLD in 1924, eldest of two children of Percival (Perc) George Heymer (b1897 in Tarrymorel via Killarney, QLD) and his first wife Edith Jessie Dunbar (b1901 in Brisbane, QLD). Perc (a Shop Assistant) and Edith married in 1923 in Brisbane, and settled in Wynnum where they raised their family and Perc worked as a Storeman. The couple separated in 1939 and divorced in 1942 - both remarried. Perc served in WWII and settled in Wynnum with his second wife. Following the death of Edith's second husband, she settled in Wynnum where she was a Newsagent and Shopkeeper.

Ken was a Truck Driver in Brisbane in 1942 when he enlisted in the Army - described as 'a youth with a mania for motor cycles' (Trove 1946). Following his Discharge from the Army, Ken worked  as a Truck Driver in Wynnum, and abt 1959 in Brisbane married Audrey Mary Adamson (b1937 in Brisbane, QLD). Ken and Audrey settled in Brisbane (Manly, Wynnum) where they raised their family and Ken was a Truck Driver until his death in 1984. Audrey died in 2022.
