Son of Alexander and Annie Sarah McMILLAN nee SWADLING, 139 Augustus Street, Leichhardt, NSW

Alexander served in Egyp and Gallipoli and contracted Enteric Fever 13 August 1915 and returned to Australia and was discharged medically unfit.

Re-embarked (no details available).

Promoted Temporary Company Sergeant Major (Warrant Officer Class II),1 January 1918.

Married Agnes McKELLAR, spinster, aged 24, at Unitarian Church, 17 Calderwood Road, Glasgow, Scotland, 8 April 1919.
