Embarkation Roll (www.awm.gov.au) has incorrectly recorded Surname spelling as MISSONDON

The son of John and Alice Missenden, of Laidley. Enlisted 3rd November, 1915, and sailed 2nd May, 1916, for Egypt. Went through France to England. Was sent to France 7th December, 1916. and was wounded slightly at Passchendaele, and was sent to Red Cross, Torquay Hospital, England. After recovery, returned to firing line, and served up to time of Armistice. Returned to Australia per S.S. Port Darwin," and arrived 29th July, 1919. -  from p. 186 of 'Queenslanders who fought in the Great War.'
