Biography

"...2854 Private Albert Jones 13th (later 45th) Battalion of Auburn, NSW. A farmer prior to enlisting, he embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Argyllshire (A8) on 30 September 1915. He was killed in action in the trenches at Pozieres, France, on 6 August 1916, aged 41.
