Next of kin given as his sister Molly O'Brien of Draper Street, Cairns, QLD

Commenced return to Australia on 27 September 1917 aboard HT Suevic disembarking on 18 November 1917 at Melbourne then overland to Brisbane. Reason for early return was family reasons as his step father had failing eyesight and his mother was crippled
